Well unfortunately I doubt either of my 1st 2 this year will earn a Bill name status - let alone make it to a real 'name' name.
Maybe next time. p.s. I love replying to Roofy's posts because he is very observant (are your ears burning roofgardener?) and he cracks me up.

Started moving dahlias back into the front garden; my Dad arrived clutching a vat of weedkiller lock and loaded in his sprayer a while ago and the dahlias that I could carry I toook round the back and the ones that I couldn't I covered with a bin bag because I wanted them to be safe from random spray.
I've moved most of my collerettes to the front - to avoid cross pollination but also to add a bit of decent colour. Of the collerettes that I have grown the only ones that I really like is Tel's Garden Friends and Grand Duc. I won't be buying anymore. The pinks and lilacs just aren't as good. I like them strong and deep.
Pleased to say that I have more red seedlings coming through.
I've also moved dahlias that I am not happy with or don't want them cross pollinating with the others - I've also moved a seedling by our back door. Doesn't look well, had a good watering today. Tomorrow I will feed it with Maxicrop, see if that helps.

I've been up early and it was lovely to be outside on my own without the stream of conversation. Just me and some very noisy birds probably telling me to go away and leave them in peace.
I must say that I love Marston Lilac and Barbarry Surprise. Lovely deep purples although this morning my Marston Lilac looked s very deep purple with a shot of hot magenta in it.
Today I've added them to my list of deep colour favourites: Pirate and Marston George.

And now for something totally different. What's the link between
And HH
p.s. The answer is very easy - there is a very obvious link.

Another peaceful start to the morning with a quick march round the garden armed with my camera with low battery (hence the marching - I wanted to take the photos before the battery ran out)(n.b. Camera battery charging as I type)(that's a bit of a shock because I could actually find the charger cable.). Holiday is now totally over as far as I am concerned because after just 1 week off it is back to work for HH.
I haven't noted down the label names of these (because I wanted take as many photos as I could of the blooms themselves before my camera died).
Photos to follow if I can.

Starting with this because it is very different from the others.
It is a Brenda T seedling Bill (D:1 to be precise) and I haven't a clue what it will be like but I just really like the colour. Very pretty. My guess, well it is going to be at least a small because the bud is much bigger than the others which come from large poms / poms thus far. Rubbish photo - rushing but very pretty colours - photo doesn't do it justice.
I like that one but don't like the blend of this one.
Will have to see how it gets on. Nice to see some colour coming through the seedlings have other red ones but will wait till later before posting those... Another installment of 'The Seedling Times' tomorrow.

I've copied and paste'd this post from an earlier thread, rather than loose it. (This way I don't need to faff about copying and pasting) I actually thought that my Dad had gone mad growing any Anemones considering how much of a purist he is on his blooms but I think he liked the challenge of doing something different and he quite liked the wide varieties in these seedlings. They have grown on me. I think that my favourites are the 1st and 2nd ones.
Made me want to have a go myself but what I ordered looks nothing like what I am growing. (Won't post photos of that here as it is supposed to be about favourites and what I am growing - isn't a favourite.)
