Had a text last night saying that our Christmas cards have been printed and would be out for delivery today. Got home from trip to the opticians to discover that they had gone back to the sorting office because we were not in. So our slender chance of posting them before Christmas has now evaporated.

You mean 'sugar' Roofy ?  Moonlight that must be infuriating, I was always having to collect things from the post office at our old house & the office shuts at noon as well, now we have a small porch I just leave that unlocked & tell them to leave post in there. I think the last posting date for guaranteed Christmas delivery was Monday anyway so just put 'Happy New Year' in them all - I'm sure they'll be appreciated whenever they arrive.  |

Indeed SueA. And speaking of deliveries ... "The Package" DeliveryBots have been instructed to leave The Box on Moonlight 's porch, if she is not at home tomorrow. If they fail, then I will be launching Scuds against the Interlink depot in <location cencored>. (you didn't REALLY think that the Pointless Chimney was just a .. well.. pointless chimney, did you ? ) Umm... except.. all of that is a secret. So don't tell anyone The security services have absolutely NO sense of humour when it comes to Chimney-Launched ballistic missiles. Silly really, but there you go |

Hah... my Alliumology is only just starting, Moonlight. I may talk about them a lot, and make plans, but... at the end of the day... I've got to GROW them first Tomorrow, there will be the ritual Opening Of The Box in the Polytunnel. The owls are VERY excited about it all. |

AOK... here are the photographs of the tubers. I may have been a WEE bit too vigourous with the brush, as some bits fell off ! They seem to all have roots, and tiny little stems, so perhaps they will still produce something ? As ever, these are posted on the RoofNet, so you can click for a larger version of each picture. I'll be getting the sulphur dust this weekend. Umm.. once I've dusted them, should I still put them in dry soil in a cool place etc ? spray tan dust for mine. |
