as you see the varnishing is not so good , a few drips here and there . I used external varnish which has coloured the wood as it is uv proction added. The tampers are being varnished . i will take a few pics when they are dry

Here are the tampers and dibbers Here are the tampers and dibbers Above are for the two sizes for my quarter seed trays and the one below for the half seed tray. The handles were 4 for £1 in the pound shop and painted them with hammerite. The one above, with the frogs ,is a bit of a failure it has loads of 10mm dowels for dibbing , but they are too close together and lift out the conpost so I`ll have to rethink that one as I like to prick out my small seedling close together . I found them easier to sharpen when glued on as these were pre cut .dowels the above one is not finished, as I have lost the dowels. They will be larger and more spaced for the standard trays and the trays with small cells . And finally this one I am well pleased with , it works perfectly for the standard seed trays and the slightly bigger celled trays. It`s a 3cm squared piece of wood with 15mm dowels. the dowels were long so easy to sharpen each bit before cutting. ( I bought the 15mm sharpeners from ebay 4 for £4 and they can sharpen all doweling up to 15mm .
