I had a phone call today from Adrian (RSPB), he's a very enthusiastic and friendly guy. He said if it was OK with me, he'd pass my number onto the BBC.
The BBC have just phoned. They asked loads of questions about my garden, how it was planted and what features it had, all a bit scary.
It seems they will be featuring a series of 'ordinary' gardens, rather then the large, established gardens they normally show.
Piskie, you can come down and be me, they want an interview too (not at all keen on that bit).
No final details but it looks like they will be coming in June.

Thanks for the support. By the time June gets here I'll have either come round to the idea or become a gibbering wreck.
I have to take a load of photos today and email them to the beeb.
Adrian also said he has been involved in a few projects involving the beeb, they could contact me at the last minute and pull out.

Only just noticed this, that's great news Sue, I'm sure you'll be a total star & your garden always looks great in the photos you put on here. It's nice to hear they will be featuring some 'real' gardeners & gardens on Gardeners' World this year. Roll on June, can't wait to see it, hope everything goes ahead & you enjoy it!

Do you think you could make a coat for Tonks with visit Garden-Friends on it? or if you could just mention it in the interview and then turn and wink at the camera, I would be so grateful ;D

If it happens I'll do my best. After I sent the photos I received this email Wow! Thank you for all this. Your garden looks wonderful! And I'm VERY impressed that you've got Alpine Swift on your garden bird list!!!! Could we come and visit you at some point? It would be lovely if you could show us around and tell us about all the things you've been doing to encourage wildlife. Claire
