Thank you all, your support did help. Both Claire and Jason made it all a lot easier than I was expecting. I am feeling a tiny bit smug, Claire pointed out a few plants and I knew their names, I also reeled off the names of all the seedlings I had growing without referring to the packets. A couple of times I turned around and there was a camera pointing at me and the brain went into 'oh blimey' mode but apart from that it was a good day. I'm far more confident that I'm not going to be made out to be some nutter that has a thing about bugs. One of the newts did its bit, it swam to the surface, took a gulp of air and returned to the depths. I'm going to have to have a chat with the woodpeckers and nuthatches, both went AWOL.

I am so pleased they liked your garden WF, it may be edited down to 5mins, but i am sure you and carol will get on like a house on fire. Ps glad you got your priorities right though, by potting up the dahlias, in the excitment of it all, you were still thinking about the Dahlia Cup.

Five minutes after all that, I would find an hour interesting. When you think of the number of TV chanels, wouldn't you think that considering how many folk have gardens, not two alike, a TV chanel would dedicate more time to it. We all like to 'nosy' into other peoples gardens and there's loads of stuff that could be advertised to pay for it. It wouldn't cost much to produce anyway as most of us wouldn't want paying, let's face it we're not 'celebs' .....yet!

;D Well done Sue, glad it all went well for you. If it is Carol, I'm sure you will get on well with her, when I met her at her open garden she was a really nice lady, and I know she will love your garden

A wildlife camera man came to film my garden. He was here for three hours on Monday evening and from 6am to 7pm yesterday. He had a Land-rover full of kit, huge cameras, underwater cameras, you name it, he had it. The main film crew will be here next Monday for the day. I'm amazed at how much time and money goes into five minutes of TV.

It does sound OTT, but they've done it so many times before, they must know what they're doing. Exciting, isn't it! ;D Any idea when the programme's going out?

I've not kept up with this thread and now i've read this far it sounds like you've been quite enjoying it all which i'm pleased about, it's nice to have your work recognised I wish i could have watched the different people 'doing their thing' because it sounds interesting, the way it's all 'put together'. Will you get the date that it'll be broadcast ? We'll all be glued to it ;D

I was told May, the camera man thinks early May, I will know more next Monday.
The camera man left some underwater cameras and some little 'lipstick' cameras for the OH to play with. He is hoping we may be able to get a shot of the grass snakes.
