I would let the cavies have a go at the weeds floydie. They can be quite useful as well as just being pets. One of ours used to eat the leaves off the large Schefflera we had in the porch. They were allowed out in the garden and the cats never bothered them either. certainly kept the gras/clover cut short. Well most of it anyway. Only just caught up with your posts. haven't you done well.

.oh they do. I let sticky weed and dandelions grow until noticeable then pull them up for the pigs. The main weedy areas I need to spray are the paving slabs and sides of the sheds. I also have some ragwort in a few places :x that needs to go!

Hope you've yanked that bramble out of the lovely ceanothus floydie! You could always try lavenders or nepetas in the dry area, they would look good & you could make a little hedge of them.
