Hrm maybe still there was weeds all over and clumps of grass were they shouldn't be. The front isn't really getting that much work this year, I'll tart it up abit, pull down the rotten old fence, dig the borders over by the fence (full of weeds & grass) cut the shrubs back, and plant up any other holes in the paving. (A bag full or 2 of hardy annuals may be of use in there). The plan for later on i think is to keep some of the paving for a small path and some heavy dense planting with wild/cottage garden flowers. We'll see how it progresses.

Just had 200kilo of top soil delivered to fill the hole, its still not full lol. Looks like we need 400kilo more .

Yes indead it is. OH just got me 3 more 60L bags of compost so i may get out there alittle later level the top soil off and add a bag of compost.

Its coming along well Floydie, its surprising how much soil it takes to fill a hole isn't it, but you'll have a lovely planting area soon

Thanks Planted some of my summer bulbs, (Gladioli Laguna, Tigridia, Lxia, Sparaxis & Ranunculus) lots more to do but I'll save them for a few weeks so they flower longer .

Its not fun Grindle I'll be glad when its full and i can get on with planting (That area is to be OHs Gran's garden filled with the plants she loved) .
