My first show I think will be a few entries at Southport then onto the Midlands and Grey Mare shows bank holiday weekend. Taking plenty of buds now with all the Dahlias caned and tied up all fed and watered, happy days

Just seen a advert for a village show on the 22nd August on FaceBook it is the 80th year of this show and its the first time I have heard about it. May have a few out that day, they would not have to be brilliant, because they have a novice class for newcomers. |

Hi all my first show of the season will be a local show at Shildon Civic on Sat & Sun 29th,30th then onto Darlington Society on Bank Holiday Monday, Then the following weekend it is off to a local Agricultural show at Wolsingham then hopefully a cut on Monday and off to WISLEY?  ? |

I did ok Raymond won every class I entered and the best dahlias in section, which was a few bob , pay for my diesel to the midlands show, I had no competition really not like last year when you go to a local show you never know who will turn up sometimes one or two national growers or like yesterday no one which is disappointing , if I was not there there would of been a few vases to judge , I put two entries in each class for them to sort out , they traveled from north wales so it was not a waste for them so organisers of the show where happy, knowsley is quite a big show loads going on dog show , birds of prey , bands , garden stalls small fair for kids am starting to waffle on now sorry Ray , thanks for asking Ste |
