Marston George is still on as ball dahlia in the eurodahliia website. I noticed that too Moonlight. Though I'm sure it is classified as a min. dec now. I've shown it as a dec this year and not got a NAS ticket yet! Some of the little shows I've been to just have a general flower, not NDS judge so they perhaps could be forgiven for making that mistake.

I put a vase of George Marston in the ball class as a bit of payback for getting beaten by a small ball (Keiths choice) in last year's small Dec class.

Diggie, if you start a 'Tinypic' (find it on google) account, it's fairly easy if a bit slow. I save my pics off the camera or internet to 'my pictures' as normal. Go onto tinypics, start a new folder and click on 'upload photos'. Choose the pic you want by double clicking on it then click on 'upload' tab on tiny pics. After its uploaded to your tiny pic folder, view it and the URL code for forums will be on the left. highlight it then right click 'copy'. Go to the Garden friends message you're doing and right click 'paste' under your text. Job done.

Nice one Diggie, I've been especially impressed by Oakwood G this year, absolute stunner. Got to grow it next year. Must have been a striking 3 vase entry!

Hi David, yes I was very pleased with my entry thought I had it in the bag. But was beaten by another entry of Oakwood Goldcrest. Still never mind took it on the chin and will have to do better next time. Oakwood Goldcrest seems to be doing very well this season. There were many vases of it at Wisley this year.

Had my second show tonight in Kent . Will be my last for the season. As torrential rain today ruined a lot of stuff.
1st 3blooms small semi cactus with ryecroft zoe. My zoe sport not so good this time . Stems a bit bent. 1st and third in single bloom collarette using two seedlings. 2nd small Dec using 2 winholm Diane and 1 senzoe Ursula . Would have used two senzoe but one the head broke of in the car. 2nd 3blooms min Dec with dikara superb. Arrived late due to heavy traffic so didn't get all staged that I wanted to. Was not going to even go as have not been to well this week due to an infection. On antibiotics which are finally working. Pleased I went.
Showed a cherwell goldcrest in a mixed vase with 2 zoe also. Looked nice will grow one of the goldcrest next year and as usual some lovely cakes from Bill franklin who I finally realised is the raiser with the prefix lismore .
