Well done Steve and Ian. Had success at my local show (Worsley) in the min/small dec category. (Got 123) and a few other cards in the veg classes. Derek did pretty well too taking many trophies in veg and flowers. Ross Luke got me best Dahlia exhibit. George second, B.Fanfare third.

Very good results today to report from The Midlands show Steve B won the individual championship (cracking exhibit) best vase of mini ball with Jomanda and the two vases of mini decs. John Doe won the Novices best exhibit with best exhibit with Ryecroft Zoe also winning miniature ball class (Mary's Jomanda) also winning with his Barbarry Garla. Myself entered 5 classes winning four and second in one the 20 bloom class which calls for 20 blooms 20 varieties, three x three vase class won there were 15 entries in this class. The 3 specimen bloom class won also out of 20 entries. Two varieties of waterlilies also won and 2nd in the two vase class Trelyn kiwi and a excellent vase of Mary's Jomanda. All in all a very good day out, I am sure some pictures will appear at some stage. Stop press............ New Midlands Dahlia individual Champion passes the judging exam to top an already fantastic day, Congratulations Steve B. Just Champion Well done Steve B for winning the Midland Championship. Plus the passing of the judging exam. Well done Ian, everyone had a good day.

Fantastic results ian ste b johndoe @davidv derekbrooks ste b Mr judge as well. Great stuff ian was that 20 blooms in one vase ! Hehe that would have taken some staging. 7 days to go. Entries go in on Wednesday or Thursday . Battered again by rain but some holding up well.

Well done David, trust the practise sessions helped. Cheers Diggie,, having a few practice runs was invaluable, now I'd use Oasis exclusively, speeds up staging the blooms and you make a better job. I have a 28" cane to help with the exhibit height but not being too precise about it. I use my bikini vases at home for surplus blooms and it looks like a florists shop at times. Are you showing yourself this year Diggie?

First time at the Midlands show and what a show it is , you are made very welcome and offered tea coffee beacon baps , and later lunch what a lovely bunch of people they are, will be putting the Midlands on my show list , thanks Ian and Stuart for your support , I have a new title at home now she's calling your me your" honour " I've said judge burns will do . Don't know how long that will last I disappeared all day up at the allotments .

That's the way to do it Steve, "treat em mean keep em keen" . Although it did seem a bit frostie at home when I got back from the allotment this morning. But I know deep down she loves me!!!!!
