Excuse my ignorance, but what is the double orange flower with the black centre? Lovely plants. ;D It's a Rudbeckia Cherry, Cherokee Sunset.. I really loved it, but unfortunately it was nobbled in winter 2010. (Think it's grown as an HHA anyway) Thanks for that. I must keep an eye out for this. |

I got told yesterday that they do vanish, G, and mine have every time I've tried.  That's it - no more.  I managed to keep mine for a couple of years, but last year there was no sign. A short lived perennial.... ah not my bad gardening then  |

It appears this is one that can be an annual if you want to treat it like this, so that explains the loss of this plant.

Reading about wildlife gardening...I saw a 'bug hotel' at a Ryton Garden Organic and wanted to make something similar but in proportion to our garden...so I came up with this last Autumn.   |
