I tipped a pot out to see what the seed was doing - and it hasn't even started to germinate! That's very kind of you. Don't think mine are either... they've been sowen ages too but yours longer than mine . Actually just poked around in the compost mine have roots ;D. Were do you have yours? mine are on top of the hedgehog cage in the living room by the window.

They are astonishing plants, seen as weeds in some countries! I would always keep mine in very large pots after wrestling to get them out of the ground last autumn...they have amazing roots. The seedlings seem to need potting on every week! I treated myself to a Clivia today....

I soaked mine in tepid water overnight, and they've been in the propagator. I'm still waiting for them to germinate!

I've been very busy in the garden over the past few days....
Planted some peas, and I've sown more in a v large pot.
Planted the shallots that had started in pots in the GH
Planted up 6 huge pots with taters...Juliette, Charlotte, Nicola and Lady Chrystl.
Top dressed the blueberry bed with ericaceous compost
Shuffled the pots around in the conservatory and GH....
Potted on the ricinus (now in 5" pots) and the bedding dahlias grown from seed.
Pricked out the brussels sprouts
Pricked out gazanias (kiss bronze), gerbera Jamesonii, antirrhinums and stocks....
Today I've started off a sweet potato in a pot of gritty compost, hoping to get slips to grow on in the conservatory in a huge pot. I've also sown shedloads of herbs....

Potted on the geranium maderense...hoping to get some flowers out of them this year. The clematis given to me as a cutting a few years ago has flowered for the first time and I love it... geum lemon drops...I can't make my mind up whether to keep them or not.... GH is filling up... the tiny alpin aquilegia (cameo) is flowering too....

aw....maybe they'll turn up...
My cat has excavated the area where I have about 5 small aquilegias and I didn't notice until today, I think 5 of them are goners....
Yesterday afternoon I planted the coronilla with a wigwam of canes in the border, I don;t have a spare piece of wall or fence to train it up so it will have to take it's chances...seems happy enough so far. I also planted the eryngium 'blue glitter' grown from seed last year. I discovered that a tiny snail had been munching on my seedlings so I had a good sort out in the GH...checking all the pots and moving them around.

very nice looking through your garden CPB. Also good to know there is another amateur astronomer on here. Kind of takes care of the days and nights. At least the sunny days and clear nights.

I didn't get rid of it Geranium...moved it for now and hope that it doesn't overwhelm the heucheras. Work has been dire...so I haven't had much energy left to get into the garden lately. Last week I managed to do a bit of sowing....lysimachia atropurpurea (somebody on here reminded me of them so I've sown some!), stoksia, geranium maderense, scented leaf geraniums and an adenium (just an experiment) called Thai Beauty. I need to prick out the lupins, knautia, thyme and summer savoury...still have more veg to sow...plan to grow some pots of salad leaves, more carrots and peas, radish etc... I've potted on the cosmos, french marigolds, dahlias, heliotrope, cerinthe, gazanias, cleome, swan river daisies...stocks, antirrhinums, foxgloves, zinnias, balsam, nasturtiums, mina lobata, ipomoea etc etc...it's getting quite exciting! I'm growing on leeks, beetroot, peppers, chilis, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and brussel sprouts...eeh it's lovely.
