I simply can't follow the mentality of people who fight each other for 'bargains' on Black Friday and now Cyber Monday. I shall steer clear of any shops today. It looks like my worst nightmare when I see it on the TV.

We have a very small budget this year so I am making most of my gifts , scarves , biscuits , cakes and lots of aprons ( I was lucky enough to get lovely end of line sample curtains )

) so far it hasn`t cost us much only time and I havn`t missed trailing around the shops trying to find the perfect, usually overpriced, " something" for everyone . All the tinsel glitter and happy Christmas songs can be overbearing . I am looking forward to a weedend Christian Christmas retreat in December and Midnight mass on christmas eve

Sounds great, ladybird, I would like to get a home made apron myself, to protect me from paint. I can never find small enough adult aprons. And home made treats always taste way nicer.

I have got a stupid amount of Black Friday emails too... I do shop online a lot but the deals are rubbish this year so far and I don't like being pestered for a week about it.

EEEK, daitheplant! Yes, I'm suffering from email-itis as well.

All my online orders have now arrived. It's wrapping time now. As for what OH is giving me - I chose a lovely jacket from a catalogue - out of stock and unavailable.

I tried again with a company I've used before but they have gone out of business.

Eventually I spotted a lovely blue knitted jacket and OH rang them - guess what - sold out.

I thought I was going to be the only person with no pressies this year - but I persevered and a Joe Brown jacket is on its way.

If you don't know that company, they make very 'quirky' clothes. I have a jacket from them already which I love.

I'm sick of 'Black Friday/ Cyber Monday emails too Rosie , about 123 rubbish emails on my computer this morning from last night & today, I am on a lot of databases but really don't need 4 emails a day from each company offering me 'fantastic savings' - not all that much cheaper than normal! I have bought Christmas presents for my O.H. online though as I can't get much any other way without him being with me.

I like Joe Browns too, their coats are particularly nice aren't they? And I have a lovely JB dress I had for 'going away' at my wedding.
Sadly a bit out of my price range too these days unless I come across them on eBay!
