I thought you were going to say a nurse was going to come in to help @hywel . I expect we are better off getting on with things ourselves. A nurse was calling twice a week to dress the sores on her heels, but they are better now

We went to the Bridgwater Thornton's shop yesterday - but it had gone. That means a trip into Taunton. However, we got our Christmas tree and two packs of battery-powered outside lights. We got a 6' Nordmann as we've found the needles actually stay on!

Especially with FREE parking.

What about a tank of diesel and the bridge charges? Too expensive for a trip just to buy a box of choccies, daitheplant. We went into Taunton and miraculously found a parking place - someone was just moving off as we got there. We took a case full of 'posh' clothes I shall never wear again, to a dress agency. She liked most of the garments, and will put them on sale. I get 40% if they get sold. Well, it's better than sitting in the wardrobe! Then we went to a rather nice food shop where you can choose chocolates from the display and get them in a gold box. Job done! We looked in Hotel du Chocolat just to compare prices, and a similar sized box of their choice would have been twice the price. So all my gift shopping is done. Ticks all down my list! A nice feeling...and a record for getting it all sorted. Was I smug again, Cherry?

Ha ha Geranium. No, that is not as hard as writing the cards. You are organised. You will feel better already for offloading the clothes and admitting that their day is over.

We went to the Christmas markets again last night, I had a very nice hot cherry wine with amaretto & looked at all the bulbs on sale, 3 (big) packs for £5 but no I wasn't tempted!

I'm not having a good start to my Christmas...... after posting my cards, on Tuesday, I've had two relatives tell me of an aunt and a second cousin passing and a friend write to say their relationship has broken up. They are all going to get happy cards in the next day or two.
I've now made condolence cards to the families to post tomorrow.
I've also now had the meeting with my landlords to confirm when I shall have to move out, and there'll be no veg gardening for me in 2016
Can I still post here, if I don't get a garden when I move?
Oohh, and the CH has decided not to work this evening, and I'm cuddling a hot water bottle.

That's a shame dianthus, I think I've put my foot in it a few times like that at Christmas but people understand. Of course you should stay on the forum even if you don't get much of a garden, as Lou78W says you can always garden in pots or even a windowbox & if you don't end up with any ground space you can chat & add your thoughts on here anyway!
