Hi Guys just got off the phone to Moonlights dad, he tells me the girls are doing well and keeping busy with all their activities and obviously have their moments. He also told me that he has selected two of Janes seedlings that he likes the look of a miniature and a red cactus.
This site without Jane and Tel is a little empty, they are very much missed.

Well done Ian for your news as to how the girls are getting on. It's heartening to hear there are coping well after all that's happened to them and their Dad. As I said in an earlier post, the forum really misses both her, and Tel greatly. Hopefully Tel's two creations, Garden Friends, and Wynn's Favourite will go on and leave a mark on the show bench, and Moonlights seedlings turn out to do the same. Now that really will be memorable .

One more double row of miniature's to thin out, thank god!!!! Starting to see a good spread of bud sizes now with the first show a week on Saturday, followed by the Midlands on the 27th. Follow on breaks coming through for the National and Harrogate, so fingers crossed that it stays that way . Tomorrow the plants that need it will get their first Chempak 4 feed, then on Friday the covers are going on, hopefully with no disaster's, as this will be the first time I've done this. Got some help, so should be fun....... I can just see it now, left and bit....NO,NO right a bit.... back a bit........ WHOOPS .

Very good JD all nice and tidy just a little bit of colour that's all we want at this stage. Are you planning on going to Wisley Obe? I think you said you are I've slept since. So what is it to be novices and intermediate?😜

Cat, I am so thrilled for Che that he has had great success with his first show, especially with Garden Friends Tel would have been thrilled to bits for you both. I remember my first show and the thrill of winning a few cards. Hope you both go on to greater success. ian, many thanks for the update on Pirate and Fairy....was just thinking about them the other day. Pleased to hear Janey's dad has been in touch and he is cultivating some of Janey's seedlings.

So what is it to be novices and intermediate?😜 Oh masterful one, what am going to do about your memory . I can't do the novice anymore, as I won the Montague Cup for best vase in the novice classes last year!! ( yer, still not sure how myself ) Hopefully going for the intermediate championship, and the Small growers championship. I've also got a sneaky feeling about entering for the Charles Medlen Cup, 3 vases small decs, 5 blooms in each, but playing with the big boys gets me a bit wobbly . We'll see on that one when the first trial blooms come out next week.
Good luck to everybody showing this week

JD if you have the blooms then you must enter. The small decs isn't well supported usually two -three entries and who knows who may be entering in that class. Go for it Obe. Not very good weather at all today very windy and of course rain, I was hoping to get my covers on today ah well. Did you get yours on?

Good advice as always Ian. I've sent off my class entries for the National today, and have entered the small dec class, in for a penny, in for a pound . Wish we had some rain, but no chance of that for a few days, if not more, so will carry on watering myself. Going to put the covers up on Sunday, wind permitting. Did you get my text about downloading "whats app" onto your mobile. It's a great easy to use app for sending pictures and video's for free. Just go to the app store and away you go.......
