Brilliant Roofy, you've got your best 'BBC Presenter's' voice on have you!? I see you've got a 'pond' like the extra one I've got now at the end of our garden too. Lovely to see the whole of your outdoor patch & I like the herb garden.

I agree with SueA , Roofy
The chiminea and chair herb patch is lovely and the spudlinks are looking very healthy, too.

mistakes where are the mistakes your vid is better than mine nice job and thank you for the mention always nice to know im encouraging people Thank you for the kind comments thecrackedpotgardener . It kinda starts off OK-ish, but after the first minute it starts to go downhill, with shaky hand-held shots (which CAN look interesting, if used properly. Mine, however, just look indecisive and wobbly, as though I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be shooting.. which was indeed the case). The voice-over is sibilant and hissy, although funnily enough it doesn't seem to show up on the Youtube version; perhaps they use some sort of compression ? I was using the built-in microphone of the camcorder, and I have a horrible feeling it is directional, and I was recording it "off-axis". The video editing software DOES have audio dynamics options, but I couldn't find them again "on the day"... most annoying. The footage doesn't always match up with the voice-over, and the pace disintegrates, with shots being either long ... the bottled carrots, for example, and the bit with the hosepipe/watering cans/bins etc... it really needed another one or two additional shots putting in, to allow each individual shot to be shorter, whillst still 'keeping up' with the narrative. The final shot of the KC no.2 plants in the basket was SUPPOSED to show rain; it JUST shows up if you go full-screen, but you can't see it in the small-window version, making the whole thing look like a static photograph. The ending is rushed and abrupt; it would have been better with end-titles or a caption or something. It took all day to produce, with videoing in the morning, and editing in the afternoon. (no break for lunch). The final upload didn't complete untill around 19:30. I kinda got impatient and rushed it. It would have been better if I'd taken an extra day. And finally, YOUR video's contain useful gardening information, and ask questions. (just consider the response your most recent one triggered in your video blog area), whereas mine was just self-indulgence. It didn't even have live sound or action. (which can be a BIG challange to produce). (which is SORT of OK.. cos it really WAS just a test...I'll try and do another one, and see if I can improve on it). Finally, mine used a lot of very expensive equipment and computer software, which somebody ELSE paid for ! Your's, on the other hand, epitomises the true Gardening spirit; improvise, and make the most of what is available !

Roofy and CPG - it's not a competition.
Those of us who have looked at them, think they are wonderful, and much better than we could manage to do. We loved the more panoramic feel that your video gave to the roofgarden..... and I did see all the rain falling

Yeah... it DOES look like a face, doesn't it ? I don't think it originally had it, so it must have materialised after it was fired up. Random stain, or a delayed-action joke by the person who made it ? daitheplant... like I said, I did it in a day. The Owls where STILL in make-up when the sun went down !
