Well, its definitely got the crosses ! Not so sure about the purpose ? daitheplant... I'm getting increasingly sceptical of Windows 10. There is just TOO much "telemetry" back to Microsoft HQ for my tastes. People at work are getting increasingly angry about its automatic updates causing uncommanded restarts - sometimes in the middle of writing a document - and subsequent 30 minute downtime whilst it then completes the "upgrade". And what do these 'upgrades' actually DO ? Well, the last one deliberately reactivated all of the telemetry that I had tried to disable, and then streamed full-screen product adverts onto the login screen. All of this to "improve my Windows experience". Our designers use software that can (currently) ONLY run under windows, otherwise I would have started removing windows and installing LINUX across the workplace many many months ago !

I have to say as I find Roofus, I have had no problems with it. Hmmm, I hope I haven`t jinxed things for myself.

daitheplant.. you DO know that - unless you have explicitly "turned it off", your computer is relaying the text of every document you have ever written on your computer (including spreadsheets etc), plus the text of every email, and.. gosh.. a whole lot more.. to Microsoft HQ, plus the whole HOST of third-party code development companies.. plus.. anyone they can make money out of by selling your email address... and - if required - the US government ? If you are running Windows 10, then the text of this post is - as you read it - being relayed to Microsoft.. PLUS ALL THEIR "PARTNERS".. " And you are entirely comfortable with this ? I hope so, because that is what is happening. "No Problems" ? Well.. perhaps not TODAY

Eerr thanks for that Nic. I did NOT know that, I am, after all, a gardener not an IT expert.

Fair enough. After all, I'm an IT expert... and not a gardener Except.. funnily enough .. you are able to post on an internet forum (and do advanced stuff like uploading avatar pictures, and emailing video clips), and I am able to grow vegetables (with the possible exception of carrots, and decently-sized courgettes) So.. are we Gardeners or IT experts ? Or is it 50 shades of grey ? To quote a great sage.. "Oooerr.. missus !"

Not a huge amount happening on the RoofGarden at the moment, and the 'puter is STILL not working properly, so no videos either . Meanwhile, a quick story from my Parents garden. They had a huge "bush" of runner beans occupying half of one of their raised beds. It was luscious, and produced improbable quantities of runner beans. (I have a whole freezer shelf FULL of them). Which is nice. But all good things come to an end, and last weekend they took them all down. Imagine their suprise when they saw THIS cheeky chappy, which was self-set (possibly from seeds from a nearby bird table), and had been hiding inside the runner beans. (click to see a larger version). To say nothing of a whole bunch of Honesty "silver dollars" growing up against the fence !
