I have just spent about an hour (probably longer) sewing 2 badges on a sash.

have achy fingers now.

The last part of the badge was a rather nice one...

Decorate a Space Easter egg with stars, moons (“Well I tried….. because it kept falling down.”), shooting stars, rockets and planets.
Now all I have to do is to remember to sew on her new badges ;-)
p.s. She still hasn't eaten it (but it is wrapped up in cling film).

Guess what HH wanted to do once Pirate had discovered the keys.
With help from the girls (collecting up anything that should have been located elsewhere (basically anywhere other than the grass.) I'll be honest and say that I didn't want him mow the grass because I thought that the lawnmower might get broken. (He doesn't like strimming because it hurts his back).

Well I am proud to say that not only did my Wonderful Husband mow the 'lawn' and hacked back a bit more of the bushes with the loppers; he then cooked us a Roast Dinner. I think that I am entitled to sounding gushy after that. Nope won't share him with anyone other than our girls.

We are so lucky.

Seriously I feel sorry for them.
After discussion previous night I decided to bite the bullet and take them down to the compost bins behind the cabin. Didn't like what I found and it wasn't just the stinging nettles, I found some bones. Grim. Didn't like being down there major wuss and decided to exit stage left. Rather quickly. It was grim but I am a big wuss. Feel guilty about that. So I've still loads of large flower pots of tubers that I need to get rid of.

One of the things that HH did today was to hurdle over the growing pile of seedling tubers. Waiting

to be relocated in the compost heap. He went behind the cabin and agrees with me, he doesn't want to be down there either.
But he did tell me that he would put them in the compost bin for me.
No I won't swap him. I am really blessed.
1 very lucky woman, unlike the animal that the bones came from.

I am so behind on my Diary but in the briefest of updates.

My 'Biggie' show 2016 book arrived
I have started off more of my tubers, about 3 more to go and some are sprouting
I have sown my 'Class of 2016'.
HH and the girls have been working on the garden lawn and path. Lots of trips to the green recycling bin.

Not bad for me is it? very brief. Have much more to add but no time that's what happen when you have a busy family by the time everyone is in bed too tired to do the update.

It is interesting how different the condition of the seeds my Edwin's Sunset looked aged and a lot drier but the Marston George batch 2 still looked quite plump. As they were collected later in the season it may mean that if any grow they might have a different range of dna pollen mix and look a lot different to my Bill - Marston George.

Now if any do germinate from either the Edwin's Sunset or Marston George batch 2 should I give them this years name or call them Bill.

Well what whatever happens I just hope that some germinate in the 1st place.

I will wait and see before I tell anyone my name for 2016 - I'll look a bit stupid otherwise.

2013 = 'Fred prefix seedlings'; 2014 - Bill prefix seedlings and 2015 = ?

When I collected the seeds I got confused with the seeds from Ryecroft Zoe, Greenways Zoe, Oakwood Goldcrest and Cherwell Goldcrest - so I put them in the same envelope and labeled them 'Zoe Crest'. So there you go Zoe Crest and Ruskin Myra - ready to be tucked up in bed.

I am not going to be boring and do 100s of photos of seeds but 1 more set; thought you might be interested to see how I use my rail card.

Now there is no way that I wanted to sow 230 Weston Spanish Dancer seeds. Note that the cactus Weston Spanish Dancer has long thin seeds, while ball dahlia seeds are shorter and fatter. I had 1 last pot to use and in the end I decide to use it to sow 3 varieties.

I think that I went with 20 of my Fred Fire and Weston Spanish Dancer seeds and all of Batch 2 2014 Marston George seeds. The rail card helps me limit the area of seeds sown but unlike putting a fixed boundary and unsettling the compost and making a real hash of it all; if you need to put just a bit more space I could just slide it along a bit.

I've given my Marston George Batch 2 2014 less space for more seeds because I am anticipating a lower germination from those seeds because of their age
but who knows none of them might grow anyway and this really might be the case.
