Rosie PLEASE don't give them ideas.....we may have to kill 'em The region wars are breaking out..... hides for cover under the fleece!
I have to say that I've lived in many different dialect areas, all of whom could understand my received pronunciation, but it's my the community-minded way that I have acted, in those places, that has endeared me to the locals.... they even cope with me saying 'pardon, can you say that again?' as I try to understand 'cwtch' 'cushty', 'snickleway', 'one of each and scraps' and all the other local words and phrases I've never heard before. It has enriched my life given me friendships that my sisters have never experienced.

let's fce it, some folks have to live in Wales as they don't have any choice in the matter. I'm a Scot and I live here by choice. So what does that tell you? As for geordies rosie not a lot you can say really Like Dai says, don't dish it out if you can't take it. Like the old saying about heat and kitchen. Having spent ten years in the marines and 14 with the post office I think I have heard every put down in the book but never a BAD word between any of us. I think I may have mentioned here before that I committed the ultimate sin for a Scot, i married an English woman. not only once but TWICE. Different women at different times obviously I'm just an old hippy at heart, love everyone
