The easiest and quickest way up Snowdon of course is to take the train.  Wales is a lovely country though, and I'm not just saying that because I'm half Welsh. I'm sure Hywel will come back to us in time. As they say time heals. |

Meh... Wales is cold, and it rains. Come to the Midlands instead KC. It's ALSO cold, and it also rains. But at least we don't have all those mountains spoiling our view ! |

Ditto the ones from the Greenhouse Gallery.
I'm sure I saw a post from Hywel, with the term 'deleted' underneath it, and showing "0 posts". But for the life of me I can't remember where it was.
I've found ONE post from him in the 'How to' section, but he is listed as 'guest'. And THAT was a thread that he started.
Presumably the system doesn't allow you to delete the opening post of a thread ? That would be logical; after all, without an opening post, a thread could not be linked into the database, and the entire thread - along with responses from other members - would dissapear into an existential connundrum.

I've got a new name.
It's a name I am known by on another forum, and it was also my Great-grandfather's name ... but you can still call me by the old name if you like - I don't mind.
I deleted my account because I felt insulted.
It was another member's fault. He was going to take a photo of a signpost with a Welsh place name on it, for people to see how 'unpronounceable' it is, and presumably have a good laugh at it.
I found that insulting, and it made me feel angry.
You'll never understand why, so I won't go into any details about it.
I am sorry if I upset people by deleting some of my comments and photos, but I did it in a fit of anger.
I will post new photos this year ...

We look forwards greatly to your new photographs Eli.. and perhaps you could also put shots of your shelter area's back into the Greenhouse Gallery area ? But be aware... there will ALWAYS be snide comments about the Welsh language, just as the Welsh will make snide comments about the English. Such is life. |
