Yes Did I mention the polytunnel physically blowing away, to the destruction of EVERYTHING inside it ? Or the Blossom End Rot on the Capsicums ? Or NONE of the runner beans producing flowers one year ? (let alone beans), or the Peas shrivelling up, or the tomatoes rotting, or the total annihilation of my brassicas by white cabbage butterflies, or..... I can't comment on brewing, but gardening is one challenge after the other. We are defined not by easy successes, but by our resilience in the face of adversity. (on THAT basis, I must be the Lucacian Professor of Horticultural Entropic EmBuggerment at Cambridge PolyVersity) We learn from our setbacks, and develop strategies to avoid them the NEXT year. (frequently involving bits of wood with nails in them). So what has happened (or not happened) now ? And what are you going to do about it NEXT season ?

Well, being on a limited income CAN be a challenge.
In regards to the polytunnel; you mentioned that the skin was failing. Is it just flaking to pieces due to UV light, or is it being abraded by the rusty spots on the framework ?
If it is the latter, then there is a relatively cheap solution. Just wrap tape around the effected sections to limit further abrasion ?

JUST building a shed ? "JUST" He's building a nano-brewery, from the sounds of it. Hands up all of us who has a brewery in their sheds/polytunnels ? Even the Roofgarden Polytunnel doesn't have THAT ? Who does ? Good result on selling the Pollytunnel thecrackedpotgardener ... keep us appraised of progress !
