yes they did manage to squeeze all of 10mins in for the small gardens SueA let's hope there's more to come. I much prefered Cleeve West's garden, I have liked some of Andy Sturgeon's gardens in the past, and probably technically this one was good but I didn't think it warranted Best in Show, I guess there will always be controversy on judging and as it was pointed out it was a manly garden and there are no women on the judge panel, so I guess it's down to us on Peoples choice I didn't see the small gardens grindle don't know how I missed that - will look on I player - but I'm sure it'll be repeated anyway! About no female judges I saw (blonde woman used to be one of the presenters on beechgrove garden) the female judge Lesley Watson - or maybe they were showing the panel from a previous year!

Carole Klein said in tonight's programme that she doesn't like grass, and hasn't got lawns in her garden. I agree ! I haven't got any either. Grass is a waste of space, it's boring, and belongs in fields
Now I think many of you will disagree, but I'm with Carole

I agree with Carol as well Eli, sometimes I think I'm her secret twin ( slightly different ages though!)!

I have to admit I do like a bit of grass, not too much though Alex Polizzi's mum owns the hotel just up the road from me, it really is a beautiful garden there, couldn't afford to stay there, but if you go for a coffee or tea you get a tour of the gardens for free or you can pay to just walk round them, well worth the visit and 'The Dell' is amazing.

It did look gorgeous grindle, you must live in the 'prettiest part of Devon' then, wasn't that something along the lines of why they said the house & gardens had originally been built there?

The only thing I like about grass is the smell of it being cut - but I don't like ( unless it's Miscanthus etc) grass in my garden either - means more room for plants

There's another programme yet on Monday on BBC1 grindle but I think it's just highlights, I didn't watch last night as they just seemed to keep showing the same things & the blurb for the show said 'look back on the highlights'. I liked the planting on Matthew Wilson's design but I didn't like that massive building in it. I think all of Yorkshire probably voted for it though, I kept getting emails from 'Visit Yorkshire' asking me to vote for it!

I haven't even bothered to watch it..which is a first for more years than I can remember grindle SueA I watched points of view yesterday and already there were people complaining about the coverage or rather the lack of it. Haven't heard anymore about the new gardening programme with Charlie Dimmock.
