How strange. I thought the world celebrated Naked Garderning Day recently when I put up with all the jokes, from my daughter and granddaughter.

I think some people probably make up their own 'naked gardening days' Cherry - exhibitionists! There are a few topless (male) gardeners around here - not a pretty sight in most cases. I think 99.9% of us look better with our clothes on - especially in the garden, I'm so pale I don't even garden in short sleeves (sunburn-or possibly rust in the rain) & if I lay down on the grass the police would probably draw a chalk outline around me (dead body).

Sooooo....I'll take it as a "No" then from the forumites? If its really warm I may take the fleecy socks off... Sue, I agree about the "topless males"....same round here, the minute the sun comes out its off with their shirts (not that I take much notice, lol) Grindle I reckon its worth a try.... Steve and Eli, well what can I say....with cacti and mahonias about you need to be really careful, you don't want a "Prickly Pear" in your gardens do you?

I cast off my fleece jacket AND my socks! It felt quite liberating after all these months gardening in winter clothes....but I did miss my jacket pockets, there was no where to put my secateurs and ball of string. π
