Well that was quicker than I thought. I bought a new drill (Bosch GSB 120 - LI Professional 12V with 2 x 1.5 Ah Batteries with Charger and Carry Case) on amazon with my Christmas vouchers and it made short work of driving those screws in, I wasn't expecting that. This wills be for for 3 beds 12" high and just short of 4x8 foot. I just screwed then together with 3 decking screws at each corner. Should that be enough do you think or should I reinforce the corners ? I saw some raised community raised beds make with just sleepers,no screws and they seem to be shifting and coming apart

I was thinking of maybe painting them either green or black as my greenhouse has black trim? or are they best left alone ?

As for painting.. is the wood treated against damp etc ? If not, I'd paint it first with some sort of wood treatment stuff ? After that... dunno... perhaps echo your greenhouse ? Green with black trim ? Either that, or neon pink ?

I'd paint them as well just as added protection ladybird, you could knock a post into the ground in each corner & screw the sides to that for extra stability too, they look good!

Well I painted them green as I thought the black might to too austere. I'll post a pic tomorrow. Just have to find another pair of hand now to help me bring them to the back mmmmmm......... that might be a problem for a while

Why didn't you build it in the place it's going to be positioned ladybird ? I think maybe it will be difficult to move without any reinforcement on the corners. The chap that built mine put some metal corner 'things' inside it for extra support, but it didn't have to be moved. He built it where it was going to stand.
It looks great though, and green is a natural colour too

I managed to drag them all round the back by myself as they were lighter after having dried out a bit and no rain. I think I`ll cut that front one narrower as well .
