Here are a couple of photos of the cactus that has opened a few flowers for the first time this year.

This is a view taken looking down on the top of the cactus - I thought it would be a little more unusual!

Perhaps I need to be more patient!

Some species flower easier than others and some don't reach their flowering stage until they are quite big. The one you have flowering is a Mammillaria, they are comparatively small cacti and flower well.
