Recently I've decided to start collecting a few types of Hoya (Waxflower). I've had the typical Hoya carnosa for years but have recently (thanks to lockdown earlier this year) increased my collection somewhat.
I now have the following:
H. carnosa H. carnosa 'Krimson Queen' H. carnosa 'Krinkle' H. pubicalyx (I think its 'Red Buttons'). H. bella H. memoria H. kerrii H. 'Minibelle' H. 'Mathilde' H. polyneura H. cutis-porcelana H. sp. Mount Rimau
As you can see, its a jump from one to twelve!
I'll post pics and any flowers and developments in due course.

I have a cutting of the so-called Mermaids Tail Hoya (H. polyneura) which is one of the last cuttings I received.

Here is a recently discovered species preliminary named after the mountain it was found on. Lovely leaves. Hoya sp. Mount Rimau

Those heart shaped leaves you see in little pots around Valentines day are in fact a rooted leaf of Hoya kerrii. Normally, they rarely produce any shoots but I have found a way to do it! After carefully exposing the callous at the base of the Hoya kerrii leaf cutting (its in some horrible coconut husk), this has prompted it to finally generate some bud tissue. This exposure to light has caused the callus to organise some cells into a shoot (appearing in the centre of pic). Yaaay! I've read several disperate posts with people saying "it'll never grow a shoot" or "you're wasting your time" but I know enough about plants to know that with the right stimulation and a little patience, it will! I've done this before with H. kerrii about ten years ago and it worked then too👍🏻 The irony is, once it gets underway, this is a really, really vigorous plant!

Lastly, here are a couple of shots of my Hoya carnosa (one at night and one in the day). The smell at night is lovely.

Never grown one, maybe one day. They are (many of them) very easy. Sadly a lot of new species being discovered are growing on trees in forests that have or are being cleared 😕

I just pruned a Hoya with no name because it took over the kitchen. In fact. Have just brought in a pot which will hold a cane to wrap around what’s left. This one has rather long leaves, but otherwise very typical. I will send you some of it when I get your address. I have never seen this in flower, either in my Queensland garden, my brother’s Queensland garden, or here, but this one is only 2 years old. My brother said it is a wild one from the forest, but I have seen them flowering in the forest and they were Hoya carnosa with a slightly darker pink colour. My Hoya carnosa was amazing, but I can’t work out how to put photos on here. I think I might ask SueA to put it on here. I can’t go to bed until late because I just love the perfume, and it only releases this beautiful perfume at night.

I had one years ago growing in my conservatory, no idea what it was, unfortunately I had to give it away when I moved as I don't have the room here
