That must send you cross-eyed geumgrower! It must be difficult to spot everything, it annoys me though when I read books by well known authors from big companies when they have glaring errors in them such as getting a character's name wrong & missing words in sentences etc. |

Thanks ladybird, I'm not that good at crochet, I've only ever made one or two things in my life & I tend to forget the stitches & have to look them up again when I start something new. There are lots of videos online though which show you how to do the basics so they might help you. |

There are lots of videos online though which show you how to do the basics so they might help you. Sue, don`t sell yourself short, you are very good at crocheting. My gran taught me how to do it as a boy, I soon got fed up of it.

You should take it up again daitheplant now that you've retired, knitting & crochet is popular with men nowadays thanks to people like Tom Daley & his brilliant knitted jumpers etc.!  |

Been to buy fabric this morning for a new quilt and a lap quilt I am making. Not cheap but they are for family so that doesnt really matter.

I had a go at drawing again this week, only the second one I've done in years & found a box of watercolour paints under the bed which must have been there 8 years here & probably another 5 or 10 at our old house - thought the tubes would have dried up but they hadn't so I had a go at that as well, haven't painted for probably 15 years or more. Squirrel & his nuts - from a photo I took in the garden a couple of years ago here.  Peacock butterfly on inula from a photo I took in the garden here. Watercolour paint & pencil.  |
