That sounds like you're really starting to make progress in the garden now Cherry, I had Seagrass on some of the woodwork in our old garden - lovely colour!

I've given a couple of my Tradescantias a really good haircut. I have a T.zebrina & a T.fluminensis in our living room, on a couple of shelves above the computer where I'm writing this. The T.zebrina here is not as happy as the plants on top of the fridge in the kitchen. (I also put some cuttings in more pots & put them there again. We have had these plants there for most of the 20 years we have lived in this flat. Every year I root some more cuttings & replace the dying plants there.) The T.fluminensis does much better & had grown too big really & was looking rather untidy. This isn't such a well known species of Tradescantia but it has bright green glossy leaves. The back of the leaves are purple. It never flowers inside the flat but during the summer on the balcony it produces charming little white star-like flowers! It also seeds very freely & I find new seedlings popping up all over the place! In fact I've brought two small pots of the seedlings into the flat to grow on! .

Thank you very much grindle. I can’t remember if this one sets seed because I would be happy to grow some primulas from seed. There is a white one I particularly liked and I have forgotten its name. I don’t think it grows easily from seed. I think SueA might have it, but sometimes these things disappear. When I went into the rented house opposite the church, I asked Sue to post a few sticks of the Buddleia l which came from Froglady in Scotland. Every one of them rooted and I have one here as well as one at White House Farm. So lovely to have these plants with history. I’m pleased that Seagrass is a pleasing colour Sue. Where is this gardener? I was told this week, but my son pointed out that 2 weeks means 1 month to a tradesman.

Is Dawn Ansell the white primula you mean Cherry? I'll have a look & see if I can find it & if I can I'll send a bit to you when you're ready. I have lost some plants due to the garden flooding but I did have a few clumps of it so some should have survived.

Yes. That is the one. I do like this one and it is never seen for sale. If someone would pot one up, I would be delighted. Yes I will say when my garden is ready for it. steve you’re so right. This primula is now safe.
