Your pansies are very colourful balc2, and I enjoy seeing rain drops on petals. Your macro shots are good, how close do you have to be to the flowers ?

Thanks, SueA! I didn't realize! I was probably looking through the thread when I thought of adding the photos & didn't think to check which month they were in! π

Your pansies are very colourful balc2 , and I enjoy seeing rain drops on petals. Your macro shots are good, how close do you have to be to the flowers ? Thanks & I'm glad you like seeing them with raindrops as well! π Thanks for the compliment on the macro shots as well! π How close do I need to be??? Almost touching the flowers!!! π It makes it quite difficult sometimes, especially when you are trying not to touch the flower & knock the raindrops off! Or even dropping the phone! It can require some almost "acrobatic" movements at times! But obviously you need a macro lens on your camera to be able to take shots sooo close up! The files are also a very small size.
My last phone upgrade, in May this year, came with a macro lens which has pleased me no end! I'd always wanted to do close-ups but most had to be deleted as they came out blurry! Cropping them helps to some degree & you also get smaller files but the image is not nearly as good & you have to go through the rigmarole of cropping them as well. With macro lens you get a cleaner, sharper picture without the work of cropping. π

SueA "Popped out in the late afternoon & took a few photos almost in the twilight!"
How quickly the afternoons now become twilight! Another month & it will seem almost like midnight at 4pm! π π’

A few more flowers from around the garden. Perennial Digitalis Polkadot Polly deciding to flower again! Could do with tying up as the some of the flowers are flopping, sterile so doesn't seed around. Pretty penstemon still flowering in the front garden Salvia Royal Bumble still going strong. More flowers on the Starburst chrysanths in a pot.

It is strange isn't it, Eli & balc2, it must be because it's been fairly mild so far but the wind & rain are trying to put an end to the remaining flowers now!
