Good morning grindle and thank you for your welcome. Quite entertaining watching the 'assault course' the squirrels go through to reach my neighbour's bird feeder, but they've been digging in some of my pots too so suspect they are after bulbs or hiding nuts. There's a local moggy that also sits in one of the feeding baskets on the bird feeder - just passing the time of day and eating the bread.

Hi libralady & welcome to the forum, I'm just the other side of the canal to you! We have the odd grey squirrel around here too but luckily they don't sound as destructive as yours, I just have lots of little oak trees popping up around the garden where they've buried their acorns!

Hello SueA - and thanks for your welcome - guess you are the other lady from Manchester Rosie mentioned in her welcome yesterday. Are you in Eccles somewhere ?

Good to know SueA. I was born in Winton but 'crossed to the other side' in 1969. Did you know a new garden centre is planned for the Retail Park at Urmston, near McDonalds.

Ooh no I didn't know that libralady , look forward to visiting that - more temptation! I call in to Parker's near you every so often to look for their bargains!

I will let you know when there's anything more in the local papers about it. I am literally half a mile away from Parkers. Their perennials are usually a very good price.
