I haven't looked at mine except to cut about 40 feet off it. I see flowers on it if I look sideways out of the front window. I will look at it tomorrow and if it has mildew, it is coming out. I am sick of cutting it back.

That's one rose that is hard to track down now. Shame - I think she's lovely.

I believe so Tel ...some folk sprinkle soot around their rose plants to keep the black spot away You will probably already know this but in the past if you lived in a town the sulphur from chimneys killed BS.

Been to B&Q and got a lavender for £2.50 (half price as some of the plant had dried) cut this out and it has new growth . They had lots of plants on the reduced section but with no reduced price label, was told on the check out to go back and get what we wanted and she (the woman on check out) would reduce them to half price. When we got back she had gone and so we had to wait 10 Min's for some other woman who told us to come back in the morning when they had priced them up grrrr I'm sure they just love to waste your time...

Patience is a virtue, and it applies especially today. The present financial situation will mean we see more bargains, Habitat yesterday maybe Dixons and loads of others to come! don't you get a 'kick' when you get something half price or even less !

The leaves on your Persicaria are a lovely colour Steve, and the rose is just gorgeous I bought a couple of lavender down to 99p each and a 20" hanging basket for £2 ;D ;D

I am sick of cutting it back. Dorothy Perkins is not coming out because it has gone up after all, so I will just cut back all the unwanted parts of the rose, i.e. all but those climbing up. I really like your rose SteveN. There are a lot of blooms coming and they are so perfectly simple or simply perfect.
