just been and bought kniphofia Ice Queen, Scabiosa Misty Butterflies, Geranium Anne Thompson and Iris Sibirica Dreaming yellow ;D If they're as nice as their names the'll do

it's supposed to be a more compact plant than Anne Folkard, the new leaves are a pretty golden green, and supposed to go red in the autumn ;D

I picked up a very pretty fern It said it was hardy but it wasn't until I got it home that I found it preferred acid soil

Athyrium otophorum, it is a beauty...I don't have it in acid soil or give it any special treatment

Thanks Steve, I thought this was the same as the one in Esther's garden but the names confused me, the label says Auriculate Lady Fern. You would have thought one complicated name per plant was enough

Got a few annuals and some alpines from aldi and also phlox maculata natascha, helenium red jewel, rubeckia (red something???) & geraniums (Thank you , forgotten the name already : through the post, my mothers also given me a large Hosta so busy busy busy today the same for tomorrow!

Also got this Saxifraga Stolonifera and a Disporum cantoniense Green Giant (like a giant Solomon Seal) a borrowed picture grows 90/100cm
