Thanks Grindle, Geranium and Louise. I wish it was the Laburnum with the extra long tassels, but it is a very ordinary one which was here when we came.

I love Laburnum, with long or short tassels, they are so pretty at this time of year. Steve N can you remind me of the name of the floating pond plant with the white flowers please? My dahlias have begun to flower Bishop of Landaff Chic white And my favourite, Sunshine Aquilegia A few for the bees Saxifraga urbium Springfield black Rimfire

Dahlias flowering already WF? They are real beauties too. I have been potting my cuttings up so I am way behind you. None of these are from cuttings, they are all last years tubers. My cuttings are only a couple of inches tall. I forgot this one, the flowers are not spectacular but they are different. Trachycarpus fortunei

Love them all, I couldn't possibly choose from them, Wlf I don't believe your dahlia's are all ready in flower, I'm just harding mine off there not even planted out.

To digress just a little, WF I understand why you want to know the name of SteveN's white pond plant, it's gorgeous. It reminded me about a pretty little plant I spotted yesterday. Wild and presumably invasive but rather nice.
