Had a trip to a few local GC's and bought a Trachycarpus wagnerianus and an ipomea blackie so not too frivolous

The more i hear you speak of your Trachy's the more i'm tempted ! Nice to have some time nose-ing around the GC's though, isn't it

Wagnerianus is not as common but even more hardy and smaller more compact fans, it is getting more in to GC's now

I like the look of Trachycarpus wagnerianus and it sound like it would survive in my garden, T fortunei wasn’t touched by last winter. I did a quick search on the net and Budleigh Salterton Garden Fair is on next Sunday where the Palm House will be exhibiting. They have them from 1 to 30 years old.

No not the lotto but I did win the raffle at the garden party which paid for the Trachycarpus Wagnerianum ;D
