Neglect must be what they thrive on. I had one which was huge, loads of flowers but loads of mealy bug too, I eventually binned it because of the mealy bug I was quite partial to the droplets of nectar the flowers produced

Well WF as Grindle is sorted, would you like my tiny rooted piece or a long piece which I can cut off for you to root yourself (it is easy), or both?
My daughter in Queensland grows Hoya carnosa, which is native to her area, and she has to hack it down every now and then.

I will see how the mealy bug is this year, if I have it more or less under control I'll try some other plants I could never keep because of them.

Lovely scent on Hoya carnosa It is indeed. I like the way you can't smell anything during the day, but once evening arrives you smell it all over the house
