You lucky devil My hoya carnosa is doing vey well ....I've moved it to a wall ion the conservatory and spread out the stems......I have several heads of flowers....one of them in full bloom....what a gorgeous honey scent they have.....will post a pif sooooon ;D

I now think that bright light, even full sun is probably the most important thing to get them flowering. I suppose it makes sense when young plants will probably start in relative gloom on the forest floor and climb into the light to flower.
Both the carnosa and kerrii are responding well it would seem to this sunny bathroom window.

I have 3 flower heads open just now and 6 more to come.... ;D ;D It smells wonderful in the evenings.

My Hoya kerrii that has grown from a bought leaf cutting started to produce a climbing shoot as noted a little while back. It has however (and remarkably) also started to produce a flower peduncle. I'm amazed and very pleased!!! Thats brilliant Steve, mine is just sitting there doing nowt, i may have to threaten it ;D

A few years ago I bought 2 of the heart shaped leaves from work for 50p - mine lasted a few years but didn't do anything but the one I gave my Son did grow At the weekend when he visited he presented me with his plant saying he didn't want it anymore - it has 2 lots of flowers open with another to follow ;D ;D Bet I manage to kill it off I will take a pic later

My carnosa in flower. I have moved it to the wall and started to train it up the trellis. There are several heads in flower and more to come ;D

Your plant is certainly doing well Lou. Mine has a total of six flower heads now though two have finished. I'll be leaving the little stalk that remains of course to flower again....and again....etc......

Yes, thats certainly Hoya kerrii. Lovely flower colour too. Watch out for the nectar which is the colour of toffee in this species. It's apt to make a sticky mess underneath the plant.
