What do you reckon to this celebration cake esther? ;D I don't know the recipe as a niece made it but I suspect blueberries, raspberries and strawberries were involved somehow ;D

Indeed!!...yes I saw Princess Ann on the Trinity boat....and got a glimpse of them all at the concert. I suppose the lack of family on the balcony was not to detract from the Queen and with Prince Philip absent...they trotted out the heirs and spares ;D

I didn't see any of it, apart from watching part of the BBC News last night. I would have done, but I was busy... It's taken almost an hour to get this %*$**£ laptop to connect to the net this morning!

I watched Gary Barlow about the making of "Sing" on IPlayer. I loved it and it brought tears to my eyes. I think Lou would like this because of the choir.
My daughter and granddaughter in Australia are in a prizewinning choir and my eldest son's partner is in a choir too. The Scottish choir will be singing at The Royal Albert Hall in November along with lots of choirs.

That cake looks great Steve. Esther that was such a brilliant idea, it looks like you all must have had a great day, better than the 'Royal' parties in London! ;D

Sue I do agree with you. I did not have enough friends and no rellies around at Jubilee time, but we are making up for it soon. I prefer friends and family any time. This is how children's memories are built too. They never forget these times when all are enjoying themselves.

We had a letter yesterday saying that Woking in Bloom has been cancelled this year due to the hosepipe ban Earlier in the year they were encouraging everyone to go for a red, white and blue theme so I expect there are a few disappointed people :(I think they could have made this decision a bit earlier
