Someone else said that. I think it was Sue A. Monty Don wasn't over impressed with them either I agree with Monty on this subject, they are not worth £3.99 a plant

Well, as green is a colour........ .......here are a few ferns taken at the magnificent quarry garden at Belsay Hall only a few miles from me (apart from the first one which is in a private garden). Unusual form of Dropteris filix-mas (Male Fern) Blechnum chilense Osmunds regalis (a good five foot tall) Possibly Scaly Male fern? Not sure One of the several canyons full of choice and rare plants, some very old now. Relatively new planting of ferns.

I think it was Sue A. Yep, it was me, I tried them from an offer in G.News magazine last year & thought they weren't worth the money & were no better than 'normal' tomato plants.

SteveN. Those ferns look superb. They would look better in my woods than nettles.

I love those pictures, especially the canyon, i'm developing a real interest in ferns. I have loved them all my life. They grew along the creek near where I lived. There was loads of maidenhair fern right up to tree ferns.

Looks lovely Steve. I love ferns too although I haven't got anything special, I bought a couple of named ones years ago & now I just get little ones popping up everywhere in pots by themselves. They look great when they're just unfurling don't they.
