The lily and delphinium are bright opposites in colour. They are all pretty.

Brodiaea is a pretty flower. It looks a little like Freesia.

It does! Sadly, it doesn't have a scent.

Not everything is scented. I bought freesias thinking they would top up the flowers at church and did not need them, so they are in the kitchen. Do you know, that the growers have managed to remove the scent from them? How do they manage it? I thought perfume and freesias went together.

First flowers on my lavatera opened today. Should now keep flowering until the frost. Don't know the variety but not Barnsley.

Campanula's small to large are the dominant blooms in the front garden at the moment. I really do like them though.

First flowers on my lavatera opened today. Should now keep flowering until the frost. Don't know the variety but not Barnsley. I gave up Lavatera because the blooms are on the ends of the branches and it keeps coming out and out until it takes over. Perhaps I should have pruned it hard.

Mine died last year and I replaced it with a Robinia hispida. The Lavatera took up too much space, even though I did hard-prune it every year.

Thank you Tel for these beautiful plants. The Dahlia was 'used' as it had been to WI the previous evening. The Campanula lasts very well in a vase. Jenny's Rose. This beautiful rose was given to me by a special forum friend. No, not one of the fellas. It is Rose by another name. Deutzia Rosea This where the Campanula lactiflora 'Prichard's Variety' is planted in two lots. Lovely pics Cherry, your Jenny's rose is indeed very beautiful. I wonder who sent you that

Thanks for just identifying a mystery plant on my patio for me - Sarastro! Love the big purple bells. I bought it at a little charity stall down the road and it either wasn't labelled properly, or I lost it.
'Flammentanz' looks like it smells gorgeous?

You can treat them much like Buddleia ie prune hard in Feb. March. AT least that is what I tend to do.
