That is really heartwarming Steve. I think the new shoots are just as pretty as flowers.

These winter aconites are at last slowly increasing in the border. I've been trying to get these growing in the garden for several years.

those winter acconites look good, I've been tempted to try and grow them, but had heard they were hard to get started.

They certainly are pretty. I haven't got any here and must get some from a neighbour. I had loads at my last house. I am moving snowdrops around and it is working a treat.

Your garden is way ahead of mine WF. A cymbidium outside? This must be unusual. It looks every so pretty too.

Your garden is way ahead of mine WF. A cymbidium outside? This must be unusual. It looks every so pretty too. It is not outside but in a covered garden (loosely described as the conservatory). It is not heated but has never dipped below 0 degrees, during the very cold snap it dipped to -1.4, this was just as the buds were forming.

They are lovely Steve and you are ahead of me too. My bulbs had to wait for planting out because of the bad weather, but you must have got yours in at the right time.

The milder weather has really brought things on - My Narcissi 'February Gold' are starting to flower - and it's still February! Last year I had to wait until early April for them.
