Thank you all for making such positive comments about my plants. You've given me some confidence
I'm thinking of laying a few more slabs. They help me reach the plants, in order to dead head them and cut them back etc.
Some photos of my little front garden. ... It's in its first summer, so the plants are rather sparse. I sewed a few seeds to fill in the gaps, but they've grown rather tall and look out of proportion. I must give more thought to it next year.

That looks lovely @hywel , have you just had that built recently as a raised bed, it looks very neat? Bella is beautiful, do you still have Blodyn? We lost Amy our cat who was a similar colour to her last October aged 17 & a half.

Some more of the lilies which have just come out. Laguna in a pot at the end of the garden so rather neglected. Some of the cheap orange & yellow lilies in a pot on the patio.

We lost Amy our cat who was a similar colour to her last October aged 17 & a half. Thank you Sue. I had the wall rebuilt. The old one was crumbling. The garden was also all slabbed up, so I had some top soil to fill it in, and then started to plant things there.
Blodyn died suddenly last April. A clot stopped the blood from going to her legs, and there was nothing the vet could do about it. I was devastated. I still haven't got over it. Bella came here a few weeks later. She is settling in slowly.
I'll look for some photos of how the front garden was, so that you can see the difference.

Sorry to hear about Amy. She was a good age ... but I'm sure you miss her. Blodyn died suddenly last April. A clot stopped the blood from going to her legs, and there was nothing the vet could do about it. I was devastated. I still haven't got over it. Bella came here a few weeks later. Your lilies are lovely. I like the nice bright colours

Thanks @hywel , very sorry to hear about Blodyn she was a very pretty cat & it must have been a shock, hopefully little Bella will help to fill the big gap she must have left. You look like you're making a good job with the small space you've got at the front of your house, I like the variety of flowers & foliage.

Beautiful Geranium. You are making the most of autumn colour and should have a second garden opening.

Shelford is a top variety in fact it was No 1 in the top ten fuchsias for several years running. Hywel, if you read this, do you have F. Lillian Annets? I am having trouble getting one to replace the lost ones. These butterflies (Peacocks) are the ones I wasn't sure what they were but plenty here of late.

Actually I've never heard of it, so I googled to see what it looks like, and it's beautiful. It's the blue ones and mauve ones I like best of all.
Here are some things in my garden in August ...
