That is a beautiful clematis Geranium. That is an incredible amount of flowers.

Got a love/hate relationship with yuccas. They do have imposing flower spikes but after nearly losing an eye to their swordlike leaves I won't have them in my garden. Outside the police station in Wandsworth there used to be a magnificent group of yuccas. A splendid sight when in full bloom. Wonder if they are still there. Maybe been arrested for threatening behaviour. Perhaps why they were there in the first place

Most years geranium, but never that good. I am hoping for lots of seedpods.

I think 'Princess Kate' is beautiful too. I am not sure about Yucca's either. 'Imposing' is the right word, but not sure I'd want one...

They're a bit spiky, aren't they. I really think I'm going to have to make a space for 'Princess Kate'!

You have a good splash of colour there, well done. Many thanks have enjoyed doing it. Finally have a garden again and now doing it for enjoyment rather than a chore. Will be better next year made a lot of mistakes especially with big dahlias but you have got to learn from them.

Yes grannygoose it is a hibiscus. A very old one that was half dead as was smothered by giant climber on posts 12 long 8ft high and 4 ft wide . Dug it out in March and the hibiscus has flowered beutifully.
I love agapanthus. I find the fascinating . That is Charlotte about 3.5 ft tall. Got 10 agapanthus in the garden. Can't wait til next year as enigma will hopefully flower was small when I got them have trepled in size this year. It is a beautiful white one .
There is a mixture of liatris, bedding dahlias , white and Russell's mixed lupins, busy lizzie and lobelia in that bed it goes much further down have not posted photo yet. Did make mistake with the lobelia though as planted to early and finished early was lovely late spring and early summer. I lifted that and put an alstibe in.

Wow!! I don't believe you are a "garden newbie" though....that is a great planting scheme, and shows a lot of design skill! You've got "colour /shape / texture / form" all going on in one border....well done you!
