Some pictures today in between planting out lots. All top order First phlox out . White eyed flame . I like it and nice height A lupin grown from seed . T and m band of nobles The end of the allium globemasters. Been very pleased with these. Although ugly leaves A majestic begonia. It really is majestic . I love it. Asiatic lillium Vesuvius . Battling it out with the alstibe behind it. Agapanthus amourette. In front garden. I like this one very much. Elegant in stature also very attractive slimmer foliage. My first hosta in this garden. My best friend cut his into four and gave me a bit on the autumn. About to flower. Hydrangea in background with surfinia around it in ornamental pot. The top border. Still a work in progress . Will be a couple of years before it is finished the way I want it. There are 7 dahlias in it. The will come through. Need to hose the pots ! Hehehe

What a lot of plants Raymond. All beautiful and I agree that Agapanthus is elegant. I am seeing Hostas differently since admiring grindle's and would like to buy a couple shown in the promotion of this plant by Amateur Gardening. It concentrated on the flowers.

I pack a lot of plants into top border and also pots. Went a bit over board with the lobelia ! Hehe but I like lobelia. Forgot there was so Many lillies in the border from last year and all have come through.
Then there will be dahlias to come garden friends , wishes and dreams , mignon sunshine and ryecroft pixie. The big agapanthus africanus seems to like it. Three flower stems last year. Four coming this year. Just in front of the alliums.
I think I will do more hostas in the future. I like the "blue" one's.
Agapanthus amourette I will take a picture of the whole plant. I really like it . That is in front garden.

I do grow quite a few grindle and I agree. They are also beautiful and have a fairly long flowering period. However, I have not seen the doubles like 'Aphrodite', which is described as having a powerful scent. This is another for my wish list.

I like the lilies and astilbes too, very festive! I love your Lychnis, Peony, I haven't grown that for several years. I've got a feeling it's pretty drought-tolerant - ? - so I could probably grow it fine on my hot patio. I must get me some seeds

grindle I love your P. florindae. The Lychnis, which on its own can be a bit boring, and the ? look great together. What an inspired combination. (Or happy accident.)
