2 very different colour combinations.
Dad's 2014 Anemone number 10. Big yellow explosion
Dad's 2014 Anemone number 7
This is my Dad's 2014 Anemone number 6. I really like this photo because it shows how the centre expands

It is a shame really because they look really pretty and the butterflies and bees absolutly love them! Took these of Dad's this morning. He has a few anemone seedlings but doesn't really know what to do with them. I took a few photos, might put some here or maybe in my Purple Wellies Diary. The one above and this one My Dad's 2014 Anemone number 1.
My Dad's 2014 Anemone number 2 - I tried so hard to catch the butterfly opening it's wings but I didn't click at the right moment. 2014 Anemone number 3 - totally different to the others. I suddenly remembered my Nana while I putting up the photos. Always took a plastic bag out with her and if she saw something she liked she'd pick a couple of leaves, in the bag and in the soil. With more successes than if she hadn't of tried. I've mentioned before I was shocked that my Dad would even think for a single moment to have ago at growing and trying for anemone seedlings but I've since come to the realisation that, it's that utter randomness that is so appealing. I think that they are the 'Wild Child' of the dahlia family and Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder!

This dahlia I would recommend for the garden. Kenora sunset . Has wow factor and very vigorous growing. Can be a show bloom and I am treating it this way but the way it produces side shoots would mean loads and loads of flowers ! Is a big plant so plenty of space and plenty of potash as the stems a bit rubbery.

That is very pretty Raymond . More of my Rebecca's World dahlias, I like the way the flowers change as they open & then go over. Maxime is very colourful too.

I like those SueA most attractive the Rebecca's world I like the distinct two tone of it. . I should have some more out soon display ones. Some I am growing for the show bench you can tell would be great for the garden as they produce so many side shoots giving loads of blooms. I shall post some pics as and when.
