I think you'd need to study 'plant taxonomy/plant nomenclature/botany' erani but they seem to change plant names all the time so you'd be studying for a long time to get to know them all. I'm sorry I don't know what the plant is, it looks a bit like an elder but I don't think that's it, hope someone can I.D. it.

There was an article about plants with berries in the paper I was reading today erani & it had a small pic. of a Mountain Pepper (Drimys aromatica) which looked a bit similar but had red stems but I looked at 'pepper' type plants & there are some 'Brazilian Pepper' & 'Peruvian Pepper' which look a little like your pic. so perhaps it's something like that local to where you are?

I think pieris as well grahamp, it should get clusters of tiny pretty little white flowers which look a bit like lily-of-the-valley on it eventually too.
