Hope this makes up for my "bad taste" tulips Tulip Black Hero, Mount Tacoma, Purissima and Ronaldo with Clematis "Miss Bateman"... Now that's better, you've done better than Mrs Archer, hers have suffered 'Tulip Fire' ;D

Do you grow the ordinary as well Grindle? I have that one. I still have the stripey Convallaria in a pot in case it reverts to green. I wonder if this would happen?

Variegated Solomon's Seal I have this and love it Beauty isn't it, I think it was from Malvern a couple of years ago where I got it? could have been Harrogate though

I'd say that all Centaurea need a health warning ! They are very invasive, Merlin. As are the upright Campanula - they're definately in the same category - i pull handfuls out by the roots all the time, infact i was lying in bed earlier thinking how i'll remove them soon because of it. Sorted
