This variety is Tropical. Tastes nice. Entered at the show in my sons name. Produces very uniform spaced tomatoes.

Well done getting so many ripe at once.
I thought my Shirley looked perfect, but they are so heavy a truss almost broke right through and has to be tied up.

I picked these today, they will make the 'bol' and I scrounged two eggs from next door which were laid this morning, they will make the 'spag'. You can't have a fresher spag bol than that. I'm not sure I will try tiny tomatoes again, although they are a little like peas, there weren't that many left by the time I reached the kitchen ;D

;D too tempting aren't they, like the sound of the spag bol Gorgeous. This is a favourite of mine. WF are you making the spaghetti or just boiling bought? It is because you needed eggs that I am asking this. I have never actually made it, but I often buy fresh pasta

Your tomatoes look yummy WLF I bought some pasta flour the other day - Son's fault as he made some tagliatelle - but I haven't plucked up the courage to 'have a go' yet I have made some tomato sauce today for a pizza I used these - Shirley from the greenhouse We have a very good crop

Your tomatoes and plants look lovely Esther and so healthy.
Home made pasta is very easy to make, the only problem with making your own is you will never be able to go back to shop bought, even if it is fresh.

Bit like bread then Even more so, I can still eat a good (bought) farmhouse loaf and enjoy it. I wouldn't waste boiling water on dried pasta and bought, fresh pasta would be the equivalent of a Tesco, blue stripey, sliced loaf. It could be a matter of taste but I couldn't go back, I enjoy making it too, it's quite messy ;D By the time I've finished the kitchen looks like I've been on a three day bender with Kate Moss

WF Respect! Do you have a machine to wind the pasta through?
I know what Steve means about the bread. I have not bought one loaf since I got the breadmaker.
