Congratulations sweetpea. You obviously need the congrats as you helped with taking your daughter-in-law to hospitals. The name is pretty for a girl. My daughter also had pregnancy diabetes. I didn't know that Jenny. I assume all ok now. At hospital yesterday the ward they were in was very hot and also a bit on the dark side so not a comfortable place atm. Found out today they are allowed home on Friday. being kept back a little longer as baby had an infection but apparently all fine. My family in Sydney are experiencing a COLD snap right now. Temp. 1-2C

Reason she had to go in hospital in the first place was she had spmething called pregnancy diabetes. Never heard of it but apparently fairly common. Off to see her this afternoon.

Not been able to access site as dektop PC is up the Swannee. Carlie Louise came into this world via cesarian section between 0630 and 0700 this morning. Weighed in at 8lbs. Beutiful and a mop of black hair. But then I would say that wouldn't I? More later. Right I appear to have access again. My DIL was sent to West Wales hospital and when she got there they didn't know about her as lack of communication' typical of round here. However got a bed eventually and was supposed to be induced but eventually after a while had a caesarian. I have been ferrying my son back and forth 64 mile round trip not that I mind but it would have been easier if at our local hospital. As far as I am concerned all's well that ends well and looking forward to them getting back home possibly Sunday. can't think to add any more as brain fried with this warm weather but not complaining.

I've had several shads over the years and currently looking for a 6 x 4 to act as my observatory but after looking at many websites decided to try freecycle as most were beyond my budget. if you got the money you can get anything. had one of those Keter 'sheds' but only a small one as it was for storing tools and when we moved I couldn't dismantle it and it wouldn't go through the back gate so had to be left for new owner. Last shed I bought was 6 x 4 for housing the pond filter etc.. Delivered but I had to put it together but not a problem as I gave it a couple of coats of wood preservative first.

Phew! harry hotters out there. Was going to do so much but ended up on the recliner and slowly cooking so just came in to cool down and have that necessary cuppa. Mind you I had done a tip run earlier plus shopping for the meal tonight.

I noticed that the little red velvet mites are back and busy scurrying around the various stone structures. I suppose the recent warm weather has brought them out of hibernation or whatever they do over winter.
