Your roses look gorgeous Sue, and I agree that this year is looking good for roses. I read somewhere that it depends on the previous summer and how the wood ripens, that determines how roses will perform the next year...? Shame I can't really remember what last summer was like! It was probably wet mostly, and hot for a day or two...?😁

The 4th one is 'Blue Eyes' grindle, I had to go & check the label as I've got a few of the 'eyes' ones, it's a good flowerer. Granny Goose , I think you're on a safe bet with 'it was wet last summer'. Geumlover, the garden would sell the house to me but as you say it may put some non-gardeners off as it looks like a lot of work to maintain it so well but dare I say it they could always extend the house into the garden like your neighbours if they didn't want so much land.

Lovely pics. Eli , I love that 'Masquerade' rose , I've not seen that one before with all the different colours on the same plant & very pretty clematises too. Thank you SueA. The Masquerade rose starts off yellow and becomes red as the flowers age. I think it should be a climber and will go on the new trellises I'm having put up tomorrow.

Love your photos Eli, your roses and clematis are gorgeous (and much further on than mine 😂). But your poppies, geranium phaeum and Sambucus are at a similar stage (some of my favourite plants at this time of year 😀 )

Thanks SueA will have to look for that one, I love it Lovely pictures Eli and ladybird such pretty plants. Still can't load any photos on here, no idea why, it starts to load and will go no further than about 17% so can't put any photos up I think it's my end, I had problems with the computer, and ever since it's been put right it won't work

Gorgeous lupins ladybird & all the other flowers too, I always think self-seeded plants turn out to be the best! I like that grindle - 'ever since it's been put right it won't work' ! I think it is still a bit temperamental at the forum end occasionally, sometimes my photos are loading fine & then after a few it will stop & stick on 0% so I give up - maybe it's just telling me I've loaded enough photos for now though!

SueA isn't that just the way. I have no idea why it's doing it, but if you are having the same problems, maybe it's not my computer
