Raymond what does it mean by garden variety please? Are these non show types? My sister has just moved to Lincolnshire and through me I am passing on new knowledge (and fond memories of our parents dahlia collection )and maybe one day some of my own stock lol

grindle it started last night so on hold again! Looked at it today and its not looking happy, more yellow than I would like so going to wait awhile don't want to cause further damage as I have spent 3 years getting it to how it is now. Neighbours comment on how much better it is with us than previous owner jungle so I shall be sensible and wait (oh well!! lol)

We have had 3 weeks of dry weather here in s e Cornwall, should I cut the grass or do as I normally do and leave a month? It seems long and others have been cutting theirs. Is jack frost coming back? Oh the indecision! Any advice appreciated
